Perfect Day for seeing Santa

We had a wonderful Thanksgiving dinner, at our home with my family. We missed having Tim's parents this year but did talk to them quite a bit throughout the day. The day after, Black Friday, I was at the mall with my sisters and mom. He was such a good sport. He went without his morning nap, which took me by surprise. He did eventually get his afternoon nap.

Saturday, we decided to go see Santa at Macy's. We took the train into the city, which he just couldn't get enough of the people and sights. We walked over to the German market and looked at the tree. Then headed into Macy's where we stood in line for about 30minutes.

Then the moment came. There was Santa sitting there waiting for him. Tim took him over while I kept trying to click away at my camera. Tim got hime to sit on Santa's lap. He sat there so inquisitive and wondering who is this guy? Before he realized what had happened (he was no longer in the arms of daddy), we got the perfect photo.

The weather was so nice (60's), so we decided to grab lunch at our favorite spot in the city (Bandera) and began our walk over there. 10 minutes into the walk, our little boy was fast asleep. He slept through the entire meal, which allowed me to finally enjoy a meal first.

He got up right as we were getting ready to head down to the CTA to head home. He loved his ride back home, as he looked around his surroundings. It was the perfect day! Can't wait for next year when he can actually tell Santa what he'd like for Christmas. A new tradition has started for our family. How exciting!
